Well i heard about this BT Big Game which is a worldwide paintball event played simultaneously on the same day in 13 diff countries, you'd be surprised Malaysia is one of those countries with BIG paintball scene. So this Tommy fella told me about it on FB and yeah i immediately got excited and signed up for it the following weekend, 80bucks busted and well at least i get 500pellets if i turn up before 8.30pm on game day (could have got 500 more if i sign up and pay before 1st Aug dammit) It's a long game which starts from 10am to 4pm man!
Well i spent quite lotsa cash stocking up gears for the game and the night before was doing final test and check on my gears when i found out my e-grip on RAP4 suddenly died-ed on me, FML. I had to call Lee for quick help but it's still dead, nevermind.. luckily i managed to install back my mechanical grip and walaa! it works, amen.
Next morning woke up and set my iPhone GPS to location and i swear it's like driving to the edge of Selangor and deeeeeeeeep into the countryside! When i finally reached i was greeted with sights of chicks in came pants n singlet tops (mmmm..soldier chicks) and thank god they're not ugly, LOL.
Well i went to collect my pellets and tag and settle down to gear up then this blue team guys just gather up next to me and started briefing (I'm attached to red team) luckily we haven't put on our red team armband yet and few of us red fellas just pretend selamba and continue gearing up while briefing is going on, in fact we don't even know where the hell is the red's gathering!
Yes all of us gearing up ones are with Red team, I'm the far right of the pic in black vest.
Well we managed to find our Red team fellas and get briefed up, most of them are attached to the Hammer Division, a recball clan or group so the rest of us lost case fellas are considered "mercenaries" and we got grouped up into 2 small teams.
General Rusty: Nic, you take these 4 guys and report to Frank up front, go now!
Me: erhhhhh.. okies
Frank: Nic right? ok you take your men and take center with me, I'll give you further instruction on the field as we go.
That's how i suddenly got put in charge of few guys guarding mid, seriously it was the most boring post of all. I ran into the 1st bunker and spread the guys out to take 1 and 11 o'clock all of us adrenaline pumped and eyes up scanning any movement like a hawk with fingers on the trigger but 30mins later still nobody fired a shot at us, in fact nobody came to mid. All the gunfight erupted both on left and right position not mid. Sigh.
2 little peeping toms
Left post got overrun and not long later mid too, we lost control and battling real hard to regain left which is close to spawn point, me and my team managed to pull off a "cover fire while i dash for the kill" move on one of the snipers but i got marked too, an eye for an eye eh?
Intense battle eh?
Well lunch buzzer was sound and we all went to fuel up before continuing the later half game which consist of new objectives, Frank again briefed me and all team captains on new objectives, left and right post will send out offensive teams and once they hold a steady attacking post Frank will send all mid team forward, sounds like lotsa action for the noon session wuhooo!
Too much lunch
I've decided i need something light and mobile, i swapped into my speedball marker and stock up 4 full pods, lock n' load boys! Apparently after lunch i got 2 more guys into my team, Mag & Loh. Mag was a very agile runner so he's a very good asset. I left 2 guys in mid bunker and took the rest up front to search for the objective items, around 15min into the game first shot was fired and hell was unleashed all the way.
I got shot halfway thru and have to spawn to notice mid is under fire with 1 guy guarding only, we managed to hold it off and i rejoin my team up front
We keep pushing forward and one my guys Mag signaled me someone is creeping up at my 5 o'clock, he can't get a clear shot but i did.. *BANG* three shots and all hit BUT we later found out it's one of our guys Kok, he quietly sneaked back up to regroup mana tau.. LOL (I'm sorry Kok!) if this is real war i could have been court martial and sent to jail.
Well the remainder of us keep pushing forward and we eventually reached enemy's spawn point when one of those the other guys asked:
Dude: Eh, where are we man? enemy base already?
Me: Dunno man, let me check the map (took out map from the vest pocket)
Dude: Wah you got bring the map one, thank god man!
Me: We're here which means enemy base is just in very close in front, shhhhh! everyone stay low!
We eventually sneaked up trying to set a camping position when actually we realized the game is over, we in fact went into enemy base to chill out abit, we hand around for awhile talking to those guys on the other side and jumped on one of those trucks to get back to main base. They later gathered us all for the score announcement which we Red Revolution are the winners WUHOOOOOO!!
The winning side players will be awarded a medal each, here i am with first medal! Sooner or later I'll have enough medal to decorate my ceremonial uniform eh?
It was one hella day and a game, was my first time playing such big scale game and i truly enjoyed it and looking forward to the next one which is SPG's Hanoi Hilton in Kajang old prison in Sept, Hanoi Hilton here i comeeeeeeeeee!!
